Quick questions
Polarised or non-polarised?
Polarised filters reflected glare from roads, water and car windows, so bright days feel easier. The trade-off: some phone, watch and dashboard screens can look darker at certain angles. Non-polarised still blocks 100% of UV and keeps colours and screens natural. More in polarised vs non-polarised for driving.
How does a photochromic lens work?
It reacts to UV light. It darkens in strong sun and lightens in shade or low light. Because it reacts to UV, it usually darkens less behind a car windscreen, which blocks most UV.
What do lens categories 0 to 4 mean?
They rate how much light a lens lets through. Cat 0 is clear or nearly clear. Cat 1 is a light tint for cloudy days. Cat 2 is medium for everyday sun. Cat 3 is dark for strong sun, where most of our lenses sit. Cat 4 is very dark for intense glare and is not suitable for driving.
Does lens colour matter?
Yes, tint colour changes contrast and how colours look. See choosing the right lens colour for your activity.
Can I get prescription lenses?
Yes, single-vision only. See our prescription sunglasses options.
